Emertec Gestion and Siparex Ventures have invested €2.1m of equity in a first round of funding for software publisher Caps Entreprise. The investors, which sourced the deal privately, each contributed half of the amount.

Founded in the IRISA lab of Rennes in 2002, Caps Entreprise develops software which optimises the performance of programs run off hardware with multiple-core processors. The cash will be used to continue developing the product and to initiate commercialisation. Clients will be software publishers and integrators, and from the industrial and scientific fields. The business employs around 15 people.

People

Jean-Philippe Gendre managed the investment for Emertec Gestion, while Sébastien Touvron did so for Siparex Ventures. Laurent Bertaux is Caps Entreprise’s founder and CEO.
