
Idinvest et al. inject $29m into Menlook.com
Idinvest Partners, BPI France and Célio founders Marc and Laurent Grosman have taken part in a $29m funding round for Menlook.com, a French online retailer of men’s clothing.
The company's existing investors – Partech International, Orkos Capital and 123 Venture – also participated in the round.
BPI has backed the business via its Fonds Ambition Numérique, which was established in December 2011 and manages €300m in capital. The fund typically invests between €1-10m in companies operating within the digital economy, such as cyber security and cloud computing businesses.
Menlook.com will use the fresh capital to expand its international growth with a particular focus on the US and Asia.
Previous funding
Menlook.com is the brand that operates under MenInvest. In March 2010, the company raised €4.5m from Ardian (then Axa Private Equity) and Partech, according to unquote" data.
This was followed by a second funding round in June 2012. Orkos, 123 Venture and Partech invested €5.6m in the company, with Orkos leading the round.

Menlook.com is a retailer of men's clothing that operates three of its own brands: Menlook Label, Saint Sens and Estime. The company sells its products through menlook.com and oki-ni.com, the latter of which is a UK men's fashion retailer that Menlook acquired in May 2013.
Menlook.com claims to have already garnered 17 million visits this year from 400,000 customers. It counts 400 partner brands listed on its site and 10,000 products sold.
The company claims its sales have increased tenfold in the last three years and are up by 50% so far this year.

Marc Ménasé is the founder and CEO of Menlook.com. Idinvest managing partner Benoist Grossman and Célio founder Marc Grosman have joined the company's board of directors, which already included Partech partner Philippe Collombel, 123 Venture's Olivier Goy and Orkos's Dominique Rencurel.
