Demeter et al. inject €7m into Ideol
Demeter Partners, Sofimac and Soridec have provided Ideol, a French developer of foundations for offshore wind farms, with €7m of funding.
Demeter invested via the Demeter 3 Amorçage vehicle, which held a €43m first close in September 2012. Sofimac and Soridec invested through the FCPR Emergence Innovation I fund they jointly manage.
The fresh capital will allow Ideol to further finance the industrialisation of its Damping Pool solution. The business had previously received a €1m funding round in June 2011, backed by private investors and public funding from both the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and Oséo.
