MyRoomIn raises €800,000 in seed round
MyRoomIn, a Paris-headquartered boutique-hotel booking platform, has raised €800,000 from a group of investors led by private equity firm Impala Group.
With headquarters in Paris, Impala was established in June 2011 and has since deployed an average of €300m in equity a year. It targets companies within the energy, asset management and manufacturing sectors, among others.
With the GP's support, newly-launched MyRoomIn will strengthen its operations in Paris and expand from the French capital to London and Rome – a move planned for late 2015.
The deal is the latest to take place within the French travel and tourism scene. Notable deals include Permira's acquisition of a 75% stake in campsite owner Vacalians Group from 21 Partners in May, followed by LBO France's partial exits of operator Cityvision in June and BDC's sale of holiday park business Siblu to Stirling Square in July.
Company
Founded in August 2015, MyRoomIn operates a booking platform for boutique hotel rooms. Its search engine features 250 hotel rooms classified according to more than 120 criteria and includes commentary and images from travel and hotel professionals.
While initially limited to the Paris region, the business is looking to enter the London and Rome market by the end of 2015.
People
Jeremie Manigne co-founded MyRoomIn and is the company's current CEO.
