Alliance Entreprendre takes majority stake in Marline
Alliance Entreprendre is believed to have taken a majority stake in the SBO of French motor fuel producer Marline from Initiative & Finance.
Initiative & Finance bought the business in 2008 alongside Ever Capital. The GP reinvested as part of this latest transaction to hold onto a minority stake, according to reports. The company's management team retains the remainder of the shares.
Alliance Entreprendre usually backs businesses valued in the €5-50m range.
Company
Based near Etampes, Marline produces fuel for both two-stroke and four-stroke engines. It mainly targets clients in the construction and agriculture industries. The company posted a €14m turnover last year, up from €10m at the time of the 2008 MBI.
