Iris leads €2m round in YouScribe
Iris Capital has led a €2m funding round for French online content publication platform YouScribe.
The remainder of the round was provided by new private investors as well as previous backers TDH, Habert Dassault Finances, the Gilberte Beaux family and Clarisse.
Iris invested through the OP Ventures Early Stage fund, sponsored by French corporates Orange and Publicis Group.
The fresh capital will be used to build up YouScribe's catalogue and develop its platform in order to drive growth.
Company
Founded in early 2011, YouScribe is an online platform designed to share written documents with a wide range of users. The service has published more than two million documents since inception – these can be read, commented on, shared and bought by YouScribe users worldwide.
The Paris-based company is understood to be employing around 15 staff and is already generating revenues.

Sophie Dingreville and Pierre de Fouquet led the deal for Iris. Juan Pirlot de Corbion is CEO of YouScribe.
