
Brandts Ventures goes bankrupt
Danish venture capital firm Brandts Ventures has filed for bankruptcy following the collapse of negotiations with financiers, according to recent press reports. Brandts was seeking to secure financial backing from Keops, the Finnish venture capital house, but in the event the firm decided not to participate in the financing. Press reports reveal that Brandts made a net loss of EUR 25m in 2001 and its equity fell from EUR 24.6m in 2000 to EUR 700,000 in 2001.
