3i and Veronis Suhler Stevenson have appointed Goldman Sachs and UBS to evaluate a potential sale of their directories business, Yellow Brick Road. The company was formed as a result of the merger of three portfolio companies: Netherlands-based Telefoongids, Finnish Fonecta and UK-based Mediatel. According to press reports, the business could be worth in the region of E2bn. A sale would be likely in the second half of the year and 3i suggests that it could achieve a multiple of more than 10x EBITDA.
