
Ratos releases year-end report 2001
According to the year-end report issued by Ratos AB, 2001 saw the largest acquisition and divestment activity in its history. At the same time, Ratos phased out its asset management activities, meaning that the private equity strategy employed three years ago has been fully implemented. The firm has gone from being a pure investment company to a fully invested private equity company. Over the year, new and follow-on investments totalled SKr 3,793m, while exits completed during the year generated a total of SKr 2,450m and included Scandic Hotels, Sweden On Line and Telelogic. The group’s pre-tax profits amounted to SKr 1,926m.
