AppGate AB
Carlstedt Research & Technology (CR&T) together with its venture arm, CR&T Ventures, has purchased product rights and other intellectual property rights of AppGate, following the firm’s liquidation. CR&T Ventures is planning to create a new company to continue AppGate’s existing work with its existing customers. AppGate is a VPN solution, enabling secure access to a company’s services over public networks. The system uses a role-based model for controlling authorisation which provides opportunities for controlling which user has access to which services. AppGate is currently employed by a number of large Swedish and foreign companies. The owners of the Swedish parent company filed for liquidation a few weeks ago. As part of the day-to-day business the new company, which will continue to work with the product name AppGate, will take over the product, previous customer relations and development
