Affärsstrategerna acquires IM InnovationsMäklarna
It has been announced Affärsstrategerna’s public bid for Stockholm-based investment company, IM InnovationsMäklarna, has successfully completed. In July, Affäarsstrategerna offered one newly issued Class B share in return for seven shares in IM InnovationsMäklarna, which corresponded to the relative assessed value of the assets of the two companies. Holders of outstanding subscription options for IM InnovationsMäklarna were offered a cash payment of SKr 0.50 for subscription options at a redemption price of SKr 3.37. At the time the bid was made the acquisition price would have amounted to around SKr 35m, however, when the deal finally completed, the preice was in the region of SKr 20m. The two companies have enjoyed a close relationship over the past few years and a merger was an obvious step forward. Due to the consolidation of operations, the enlarged group is a financially strong investment company with a higher growth potential than each company would have had on its own. During the negotiations, IM InnovationsMäklarna, which has holdings in 34 companies, streamlined its operations, reducing its workforce from 20 to 10. The firm’s CEO, Rolf Tedestedt, has joined the new group as an investment manager.
