Swefour awarded fourth licence
Swefour AB, the Swedish GSM operator set up by BrainHeart Capital, has been awarded a fourth licence by the Swedish National Post and Telecom Agency. In Sweden only 15% of the total call volume is through the mobile network and the aim of the licence is to promote competition in the mobile telecommunications market. No other GSM operator was permitted to apply for the licence. Swefour’s aim is not to become a new mobile operator but rather to offer GSM capacity to companies and operators which do not have their own mobile networks.
