
Bank of Scotland
Bank of Scotland has taken an equity shareholding in Goldsmiths, the UK jeweller, after providing debt finance to fund the firm's acquisition by Baugur, the Icelandic bank. Bank of Scotland has provided the financing for several of Baugur's transactions, including Oasis and Hamleys. Baugur's E170m acquisition sees Bank of Scotland take a 5% stake. Baugur itself has taken a 55% shareholding.
