Apax heads north
Apax Partners has formally opened an office in the Nordic region. The new office, located in Stockholm, is headed by Lars Johansson, former senior partner with IT Provider, who will be assisted by Simon Lindfors, previously partner at IT provider. The newly-established Nordic team will seek to recruit further executives in the near future. Apax director Andrew Barrett, currently based in Sweden, will support the integration of the new team into the Apax Partners global firm. Apax has already invested in seven Nordic companies, namely BioImage, Biolipox, Damovo, GenMab, Global Refund, Solid Information Technology and StreamServe, transactions with a combined value of over E820m.
