A new board of directors has been announced for Ferd Holding AS, a move which marks the end of a long tradition for the owner of the company to be both chair of the board and CEO. Johan H Andresen jr has chosen to bring together a board of directors which represents a broad range of experience and do not have previous connections with the Ferd group. The members of the new Board of Ferd Holding AS are Gunn Wærsted (chairman), Wenche Agerup, Henrik Brandt, Urban Jansson and Jo Lunder. Gunn Wærsted is managing director of SpareBank 1 Gruppen AS. Her current appointments include chair of the board of the Norwegian School of Management, member of the main board of the Norwegian Financial Services Association and membership of the corporate assembly of both Orkla and Rieber & Søn. Wenche Agerup is vice president, corporate M&A at Norsk Hydro ASA and her previous experience includes practising as a lawyer at Thommesen, Krefting, Greve & Lund and employment with Nycomed ASA. Henrik Brandt is the managing director of Unomedical AS in Denmark. He has extensive international experience from a number of senior positions with Sophus Berendsen and Skandinavisk Tobakskompagni A/S. Brandt is also a board member for Bryggerigruppen and Group 4 Falck. Urban Jansson is board member of a number of companies including Eniro, Fabege, SEB, Plantasjen and Ahlström. Previously, he was the CEO of Ratos, and the first person to hold that position not to come from the owning family. Prior to this he held a number of senior positions in Incentive AB and SE Banken. Jo Lunder is chairman of the board of AO Vimpelcom, having previously been the company's CEO. Prior to this he held a number of senior positions with Telenor Mobil, Norgeskreditt and 3M Norway AS. Sarah Tähkälä and Markus Engberg have been appointed partners. Tähkälä practises in the firm's M&A group and is an experienced M&A expert and also heads up the firm's employment practice. Engberg also works within the M&A group and focuses on M&A, company law, commercial law and private equity. He has considerable experience in national and cross-border transactions. Ossi Haapaniemi has also joined the firm as specialist tax partner. His previous positions have included tax auditor at a county tax office, tax manager at Arthur Andersen as well as director and partner in charge of structuring and taxation of M&A and capital markets transactions at Evli Corporate Finance. Procuritas PartnersProcuritas Partners has appointed Nicolai Jungersen to the position of associate in the Copenhagen office. Jungersen was previously with ABN AMRO. He replaces Peter Boeskov who has left the firm to join Barclays Capital. Leif Johansson has resigned from his position as 'executive in residence' which he held for three-and-a-half years. He will retain his chairmanships in Sandå and Axenti.
