Accent's debut fund beats target
Accent Equity Partners, the Nordic investor founded in April 2003 as a result of the merger of Euroventures and Nordico, has announced a second close in excess of E200m, of its debut fund, Accent Equity 2003. Furthermore, the vehicle, which has a formal ceiling of E300m, is reportedly soon to announce a third and final close on E265m. The fund originally held a first closing on E75m in August 2003, in a fundraising effort which was restricted to investors which had contributed to previous Euroventures or Nordico funds. Thereafter the firm targeted international institutions. UBS Private Equity Funds has advised Accent as placement agent.
