Comhat AB and Provexa AB have announced their decision to combine their businesses in order to create a larger and more profitable structure. The two companies are primarily focused on combining their design and manufacturing expertise in order to create a company with the capability of becoming a world-leader in the microwave antenna market. Comhat was established in Gothenburg 1997 with SKr 15m of funding from the Swedish Industrial Development Fund, Ventech, Itact, CR&T Ventures and Bure Equity, taking the total invested in the company to SKr 10m. Further to the acquisition, CR&T Ventures and Bure Equity have acquired additional shares in Provexa from the present owners, taking their current shareholding in the company to 10%.

Provexa AB is a leading supplier to the telecommunications industry and operates manufacturing facility to provide production and logistics. Founded in 1956, the company supplies antennas, parts or radio units and microwave filter components to telecommunications companies worldwide. Comhat AB operates as a developer of microwave antennas for the expanding radio link market. The companyâ€™s products are primarily based on the patented Hat Antenna principles. The combined operations of the two companies will run on a turnover of around SKr 230m and employs around 130 members of staff.
