
CapMan
CapMan has added to its portfolio management team with the appointment of Matti Copeland as investment director. Copeland was previously at the Finnish technology venture capital firm Aura Capital, and has also held management positions in the banking sector with Sampo, Merita-Nordbanken and Citibank. The Nordic private equity house has also appointed three senior advisors to its Stockholm office: Claes de Neergaard, Björn Norrbom and Semmy Rülf. Norrbom will form part of CapMan’s Nordic ICT/Technology Business Unit and de Neergaard and Rülf will join the firm’s Nordic Life Science Business Unit. De Neergaard has spent 25 years in the financial sector and has served as vice president in the Management Committee of the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg and as executive director at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London. Norrbom has held several senior management position at IBM, DEC and Cap Gemini and has also headed Telia MegaCom, Telia’s subsidiary handling international clients. Rülf has experience in the life science and IT sectors and was previously managing director of life science firm Prostalund AB and managing director of Axis Communications AB.
