Mannheimer Swartling
Mannheimer Swartling has strengthened its private equity group to serve the needs of this growing sector. Additional members have joined the group and it will also have greater access to other specialists possessing skills relevant to the private equity sector. Having expanded rapidly in the 1990s, the private equity sector has now matured and begun to consolidate. The sector has become more sophisticated over the last year or so, and the need for specialist skills has also grown appreciably. The level of activity in the sector is also expected to increase. Mannheimer Swartling has added a number of new members to its private equity group to meet these challenges. The group monitors the field continuously, from a commercial as well as a legal perspective. Additional resources have also been made available to the group in the form of specialists from other fields possessing the highest level of expertise in key areas such as tax law, M&A and securities. This means that more than forty lawyers will be working for the group, twice the previous number. The group is headed by Peter Alhanko.
