Institutional update - ATP to establish E5bn electronic fund exchange
A new electronic fund exchange is to be set-up as a joint venture between the Danish pension fund ATP and the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. It is believed that the new exchange could attract up to Dkr 40bn in assets. The exchange is being established as part of Denmark's pendion reforms, which will allow savers to take money out of the public pension fund and invest in a wider range of approved funds. The exchange will be administered by ATP.
