Fundraising has been through a difficult period, with LPs becoming increasingly picky about where they place their capital. However, despite torrid market conditions, the past month has seen the closure of two high-profile funds by GPs in the Nordic region.
]Polaris Private Equity Fund III, launched in October 2008 with a target of €350m, closed at the end of May having raised €365m. It attracted investors from a range of countries, with 40% of the committed capital coming from LPs outside the Nordic region.
