Ratos to float Arcus in Oslo
Listed Swedish GP Ratos is to float Nordic wine and spirits producer and supplier Arcus on the Oslo Stock Exchange, the private equity firm said in a statement.
The news comes more than a decade after Ratos acquired what was then ArcusGruppen in a NOK 820m buyout, followed by a €103m bolt-on of several spirit brands in 2012.
No details of the IPO have been announced yet and Ratos told unquote" no target date has been set for the listing. The GP's holding in Arcus stands at 83%.
For Ratos, the intention to exit comes at a turbulent time, having recently taken a SEK 1.7bn write-down of its portfolio value and fired former CEO Susanna Campbell, to be replaced by Byggmax executive Magnus Agervald.
During Ratos's ownership, the GP claims Arcus saw annual sales growth of around 11%, growing from NOK 863m in 2005 to NOK 2.47bn in 2015. The adjusted EBITDA grew from around NOK 31m to NOK 274m in the same period, according to figures provided by Ratos.
ABG Sundal Collier and SEB are the joint global coordinators and joint bookrunners for the flotation, while Carnegie acts as joint bookrunner. Advokatfirmaet Wiersholm is the legal adviser to Arcus and Ratos.
