CapMan launches infrastructure arm
Finnish asset management company CapMan has launched an infrastructure division, CapMan Infra, to invest in Nordic mid-cap infrastructure assets.
The new arm adds to the Finnish manager's investment strategy portfolio, which includes buyouts, credit, real estate and a Russian investment vehicle.
CapMan Infra will initially invest in single assets through club deals or take on managed account mandates, though the firm said in a statement it would consider raising an infrastructure fund in the future. The infrastructure arm will focus on investing in assets across sectors including energy, transportation and telecommunications, with Finland and Sweden being its key geographical markets.
Heading up CapMan Infra is Ville Poukka, who joins from Danske Bank's corporate finance division where he was a managing director responsible for the bank's Nordic energy and infrastructure operations.
