Polaris promotes Gornitzka, Damkjær and Satchwell

Danish-Swedish private equity firm Polaris has promoted three employees, with Rune Lillie Gornitzka becoming associate partner.
Gornitzka (pictured) joined Polaris in 2005 from Danish telecoms giant TDC, where he worked as a business developer. Prior to his time at TDC, he was an investment banker at Capitellum Corporate Finance. During his time at Polaris, he was an investment manager for seven years and a director for four.
Alongside Gornitzka, Polaris has promoted Simon Damkjær Wille from investment manager to associate director. Wille joined the GP in 2010 as an analyst, and has since held roles as an associate and investment manager. Prior to joining, he was an assistant manager in the tankers division of Danish shipping company Maersk.
Joachim Satchwell was also promoted from his position as junior associate to associate. Having joined Polaris as an analyst in 2013, Satchwell previously worked at the Boston Consulting Group as a visiting associate and as an intern at Procter & Gamble.
