Nordic Capital announces NY base for US healthcare push
Nordic Capital has announced that it will open an office in New York during the autumn of 2019 to support its push into the US healthcare sector.
The initiative is being led by Raj Shah, a medical doctor and co-head of healthcare at Nordic Capital, and Thomas Vetander, a partner and member of the GP's healthcare team.
Nordic Capital simultaneously announced its latest investment in a US-based healthcare company; it has acquired life sciences software provider ArisGlobal with capital from Fund IX.
The GP has invested a total of €14bn since inception, 40% of which has been deployed in the healthcare sector globally.
