Ex-Tryg senior vice-president Winther joins Realdania
Danish limited partner Realdania has appointed Kenneth Winther as chief investment officer and executive director, effective from February 2020.
Winther's appointment comes as current CIO Peter Johansen announced his intention to resign last October.
In his new role, Winther's responsibilities include overseeing the DKK 21.4bn organisation's commercial investments and investment team. He will also be in charge of implementing the organisation's new investment strategy, which will be effective from January 2020.
He will join from insurance company Tryg Group, where he has served as senior vice-president since 2010 and investment manager since 2017. He has previously worked as a financial analyst, equity analysis manager, portfolio manager and strategist.
Copenhagen-based Realdania had invested 21.5% of its portfolio to private equity as of December 2018. It recently committed to Summa Equity Fund II and Northedge Capital SME Fund I.
