Alder to start raising new fund in H2 2021
Swedish private equity firm Alder is preparing to hit the fundraising trail for a new investment vehicle, partner Arash Raisse told Unquote.
The sponsor is currently investing from Alder II, which closed on its hard-cap of SEK 1.5bn (€145m) in 2019. The vehicle, which already counts three portfolio companies, has enough dry powder left to ultimately hold nine to 10 platform companies, Raisse said.
Alder is in exclusive talks to acquire two more targets, with announcements expected within the next months, he said.
Once the two planned acquisitions are signed, Alder will be a step closer to begin fundraising for its third fund, which is penned for the second half of 2021, he said. A fundraising target has not yet been set, he added.
