Creandum expands investment team in Stockholm and London
Swedish VC firm Creandum has appointed Sabina Wizander and Gemma Bloemen to the roles of partner and principal, respectively.
Based in Stockholm, Wizander returns to Creandum after spending four years at its portfolio company Kry, where she worked in various senior management positions. She previously worked as an investment manager at the VC firm between 2015 and 2017.
Bloemen will be based in Creandum's London office and joins from UK-based health-tech marketplace Elder, where she was the chief operating officer. She also previously worked at Uber, where she was involved in growing the local UK team from 20 to 250 people. Prior to that, Bloemen spent a number of years at McKinsey. In her new role, she will work in cooperation with the firm's wider investment advisory team in Creandum's other key offices in Stockholm, Berlin and San Francisco.
Creandum is currently investing its fifth fund, which held a final close in June 2019 on €265m. The vehicle focuses on seed and series-A rounds in tech companies across Europe, typically deploying between €100,000-1m in seed rounds, €1-4m in early-stage rounds and €5-10m in later-stage investments.
