
Nordic Capital bolsters team with seven promotions

Sweden-based private equity firm Nordic Capital has announced seven promotions, including appointing Chris Lodge and Peter Thorninger to partner.
The promotions will strengthen the GP's advisory team across various roles, the firm said in a statement. Nordic Capital has offices in 10 cities and is currently investing via Fund X and Evolution Fund, according to its website.
Chris Lodge has been promoted to partner and is based in the firm's London office. Lodge joined the firm in 2012 and worked on debt financings. Prior to this, he was at Barclays Capital for almost seven years and almost two years as the leveraged finance vice-president, according to LinkedIn.
Peter Thorninger, Nordic Capital
Peter Thorninger has been promoted to operating partner and head of operations advisory. Based in Copenhagen, he joined the firm in 2016 and has helped develop the operations advisory team and its strategy. Thorninger has also played a role in driving performance in portfolio companies, with a specific focus on those with a technology focus. According to LinkedIn, he has been a board member on Conscia and Trustly. Previously he was at Chr Hansen for seven years, two of which as senior vice-president of global sales and marketing.
Additionally, five other members of the firm have been promoted to principal: Rickard Torell, deal leader for payments; Rolf Torsøe, country coverage manager for Norway and deal leader for applications software; Elin Ljung, communications and sustainability manager; Lena Ulrich, investor relations leader for the EMEA region; and Daniel Kanak, investor relations leader for North America, Latin America and Japan.
