
EV Private Equity promotes Kobayashi to partner

Norway-headquartered, energy sector-focused sponsor EV Private Equity has promoted Karem Kobayashi to partner and head of sustainable investment, according to a statement.
Prior to the promotion Kobayashi was a director of responsible investment. She joined EV Private Equity in 2014.
Her new role will involve continuing her focus on the firm’s responsible investment mandate, according to a statement. She will also be involved in governance and the assessment of potential new investments.
EV Private Equity describes itself as a “technology-enabled impact investor” and focuses on the decarbonisation of the energy sector. It has offices in Norway, the UK, and the US.
The firm currently has 20 portfolio companies and has made 30 exits to date, managing almost USD 1bn in committed capital.
The GP's recent investments include the buyout of Norway-based energy management software Noova.
