Pohjola Capital Partners becomes Vaaka Partners
The private equity division, Pohjola Capital Partners, has agreed a management buyout with majority shareholder Pohjola Bank.
The management of Pohjola Capital Partners has acquired all the company's shares, and will be renamed Vaaka Partners when the transaction is completed in December.
The exit is in line with current market practices with Pohjola reporting that direct equity investments in unlisted Finnish assets is not part of its core business. Pohjola and Vaaka will continue their co-operation, with Pohjola remaining an investor in Vaaka's next buyout fund.
