Procuritas has acquired Norwegian education service provider Sonans AS from Arendals Fossekompani (AFK).
The deal is said to be valued at NOK 234m and it is believed that additional payments will be made to AFK, relating to the performance of the company until the end of the first half of 2013. Equity for the transaction is provided by the Procuritas Capital Investors IV L.P. fund, which raised €139m at final close in September 2009.
Sonans was founded in 1989 and offers education services to private candidates for their Norwegian upper secondary school's exams. The company offers classroom and web based courses as well as regular three year private secondary school courses. Sonans generated a turnover of NOK 200m in 2010.
