Ratos refinances Arcus
Ratos has completed a NOK 220m refinancing round of Norwegian wine and spirit producer Arcus-Gruppen.
Following the refinancing, a dividend of NOK 140m will be paid out, with Ratos receiving approximately NOK 130m. According to the investor, the refinancing was made possible due to the strong performance of the company in recent years.
Ratos acquired an 85% stake in Arcus in 2005 for an enterprise value of NOK 820m. The deal was financed with a NOK 263m senior debt package and NOK 434m in equity.
Arcus-Gruppen was established in 1996 to take over the national distribution of wine and spirits from the state-owned Vinmonopolet in Norway. The most famous brands offered are Linie Aquavit, Løiten and Braastad Cognac.
