Verdane Capital Advisors sells Prenax
Verdane Capital Advisors has sold Swedish subscription management company Prenax to French family office Arts et Biens.
Verdane acquired Prenax from Skandia Liv through a portfolio transaction in 2005. Since then, the company has performed four add-on acquisitions, including Legal Library Services and IS Abonnements in the UK and France respectively.
Prenax operates between publishers and customers for both print and online subscriptions. In 2011, its revenues amounted to €70m, 80% of which were generated outside of Sweden. The company employs 133 people.
During the holding period, Prenax's revenues doubled and the company opened offices in Australia and Singapore in addition to those in France, Sweden, the UK and the US.
