Investor CEO Börje Ekholm to step down
Listed Swedish investment firm Investor's CEO, Börje Ekholm, is understood to be stepping down while the GP begins searching for his replacement, according to local media reports.
Ekholm has been with Investor since 1992. He became the CEO of the firm in September 2005 and between the years 1997-2005 he was the head of Investor Growth Capital.
Investor's board of directors, led by Jacob Wallenberg, consists of 13 members, of which Börje Ekholm was the youngest. Five of the members in Investor's board have reached retirement age, suggesting a wider generational shift for the firm.
In 2012, the firm's board members received a total fee of SEK 13bn according to Investor's annual report, which is higher than any other investment firm listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. Investor's share price has increased by 15% so far this year.
Investor declined to comment.
