
Carlyle closes third venture fund on $605m
The Carlyle Group has held the final close of its third venture and growth capital fund, Carlyle Venture Partners III (CVP III), on $605m. CVP III is Carlyle's largest fund to date and takes the total value of its venture funds under management to $3.8bn. The fund will employ a multi-strategy approach, investing in a range of early-stage venture and expansion growth transactions, as well as buyouts. CVP III will also be used to help grow the value of Carlyle's portfolio companies.
