EQT Ventures hires Persson as design partner
EQT Ventures, the venture capital arm of EQT, has hired Ted Persson, the co-founder of digital agency Great Works, as a design partner.
The entrepreneur will help EQT Ventures' future portfolio companies with design, product development and marketing. Despite his title, the role will be a creative position, rather than the traditional private equity and venture capital partner role.
Prior to joining EQT Ventures, Persson co-led Scandinavian communications and technology network North Alliance's incubation unit. Through his role at North Alliance, he also headed up product development and marketing at e-commerce startup Wrapp.
Persson is the second appointment by EQT Ventures in the new year, having also hired Toborrow co-founder Andreas Thorstensson.
