New Store Europe was founded in 2007 following the merger of Norwegian business Grøn-Hansen Butikkinnredninger AS and Swedish company Samuelsons Inredngingar AB. Headquartered in Norway, the company has offices in ten countries and generated revenues of NOK 774m in 2008. The group employs 380.
The investment was made from Herkules' third buyout fund, which closed on NOK 6bn in 2008.
