Litorina acquires leading wallpaper manufacturer
Litorina Capital has acquired a majority stake in ECO-BorУЅstapeter, the leading Nordic manufacturer of wallpaper, in a management buyout.
The investor, committing from Litorina Kapital III, has taken approximately two thirds of the company's equity, with management and some 135 of the firm's former shareholders holding the balance. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
ECO-Boråstapeter designs, manufactures and markets a wide selection of wallpapers, principally at the premium end of the market. The group has a market-leading status in the Nordic region, where it generates three quarters of its SEK 550m of revenues, but is also active in another 35 countries globally.
Founded in 1905 as Borås Tapetfabrik, the company now employs some 165 staff. It is based in the Swedish town of Borås.
