Nordic venture investor Northzone Ventures has secured EUR 90m in a first close of its sixth fund.
Northzone VI is one of very few venture fund to be launched in Europe for more than a year. Tellingly, the investor is targeting EUR 150m, EUR 25m short of its last fund which closed on EUR 175m in May 2006.
Northzone invests in early-stage technology companies in the Nordic region. Among its current portfolio companies are Spotify, Tobii Technology and Napatech.
