
SLIPE to manage EUR400m CalPERS mandate
Standard Life Investments (Private Equity) Ltd (SLIPE) has been selected to manage a EUR400m mandate focused exclusively on European private equity. The mandate will be managed in the ESP Golden Bear Europe Fund on behalf of California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) as part of its alternative investment management programme. CalPERS is the largest public pension fund in the US with more than $245bn in assets. It provides retirement and health benefits to approximately 1.5 million employees, retirees and their families, as well as to more than 2,500 employers. The mandate will specifically target small- to mid-market European investments.
