Altor acquires Veolia Miljø
Altor has acquired Norwegian environmental service provider Veolia MiljУИ from Veolia PropretУЉ in France.
The value of the deal has not been disclosed, however equity for the transaction comes from Altor Fund III. Veolia Miljø was established in 1926 and was, until 2003, known as Norsk Gjenvinning. The investor sees significant value creation opportunities in all parts of the company's businesses.
Veolia Miljø has revenues of approximately NOK 3bn and about 1,200 employees within waste collection and recycling services, ferrous and non-ferrous metal recycling, industrial and offshore services, hazardous waste, and demolition. The acquired company and its businesses will change name after the transaction has closed.
