Ratos acquires Finnkino for €94.3m
Ratos has acquired Finnish cinema chain Finnkino Oy from Sanoma for an enterprise value of тЌ94.3m.
The investor has injected €50m of equity to own 100% of the company's shares. Ratos is looking to increase the number of visitors to the cinema by investing in new cinemas and technology.
Finnkino is headquartered in Vantaa and operates 25 cinemas in Finland and the Baltic States, where the company is known as Forum Cinemas. In 2010 the company generated a turnover of €88.6m and EBITDA of €8.5m.
