
Hope takes charge of Swedish legal firm

Maria-Pia Hope has been appointed new managing partner of Swedish legal firm Vinge.
She replaces Michael Wigge, who has held the position since 2007.
Hope joined Vinge in 1996 and became a partner in 2003. She worked at Vinge's London office for around 10 years, and came to manage this office for a number of years. She graduated with a law degree from the University of Lund, Sweden, and a Master of Laws degree from Harvard Law School.
Hope has specialised in commercial law and has experience in regional buyouts. Most notably, she advised EQT on its acquisition of Atos Medical, and Litorina on the acquisition of Björnkläder.
