
Monterro takes 60% stake in Hypergene
Swedish software-focused private equity firm Monterro has acquired a 60% stake in Malmö-based software developer Hypergene.
The GP tapped its Monterro 2 fund for the deal's equity portion, having closed the fund on its SEK 1.2bn hard-cap the day before, making Hypergene the maiden investment of the vehicle.
Monterro is a Stockholm-based private equity firm investing exclusively in software companies.
Company
Malmö-based Hypergene was founded in 2000 and is a developer of web-based planning, monitory and analysis software, focused on performance management, budgets, forecasts, analytics and reporting.
The company employs a staff of 100 and generated revenues of SEK 120m in the 2015 financial year with EBITDA of SEK 11.5m, according to publicly available information.
