Monterro closes second fund on SEK 1.2bn hard-cap
Swedish software-focused private equity firm Monterro has closed its second fund on its SEK 1.2bn hard-cap.
At SEK 1.2bn of total commitments, Monterro 2 is more than double the size of the GP's first fund, Monterro 1, which raised SEK 560m. As with its first fund, the GP has committed 36% of the fund's capital.
Investors
Since its first fund, Monterro has expanded its investor base, bringing in new LPs alongside its existing backers, according to the GP.
Investments
Monterro 2 will follow the strategy of its predecessor, investing exclusively in Nordic software and software services companies.
The fund's first acquisition was Malmö-based software developer Hypergene, in which Monterro took a 60% stake.
