Erhvervsinvest acquires Gaming
Danish GP Erhvervsinvest has acquired Århus-based online gambling and gambling machine business Gaming in a buyout.
The GP bought its majority stake in the company from exiting investors Genua and Dansk Automat Expert Holding. Equity was drawn from Erhvervsinvests' 2012-vintage third fund.
As part of the transaction, Lars Holtug, a former senior partner at PwC in Denmark, will become chair of Gaming's board.
Erhvervsinvest has previously invested in the gambling segment with the buyout-merger of Danske Automat Spil and Elite Gaming in 2006, which the GP has since exited.
Company
Created in 2010 through the merger of Compu-Game and Dansk Automat Expert, Gaming is the developer and operator of online casino Spillehallen.dk and in-shop gambling machines.
The company is headquartered in Århus with a second office in Esbjerg and operates machines across Denmark.
