Ratos acquires minority stake in Gudrun Sjödén for SEK 150m
Swedish listed GP Ratos has acquired a 30% stake in clothes and homeware designer Gudrun SjУЖdУЉn Group from its founders for SEK 150m.
The deal, which also includes the option for Ratos to acquire a further 40% stake in 2018, gives the business an enterprise value of SEK 725m.
Upon completion of the transaction, Gudrun Sjödén will look to ramp up its existing international expansion strategy.
The acquisition marks Ratos's second deal of 2016. In February, the GP acquired a 70% stake in Danish ventilation services company Airteam in a DKK 575m buyout.

Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Stockholm, Gudrun Sjödén designs and manufactures clothes and homeware using sustainable materials. The business operates from 21 bricks-and-mortar stores across seven countries, in addition to its online store. Its largest markets are Germany and Sweden.
Gudrun Sjödén has a headcount of 400 and generated revenues of SEK 715m in 2015, with EBITDA of SEK 76m.
