
MB Rahastot sells Cityterveys to Synlab
Finnish private equity company MB Rahastot has sold private healthcare provider Cityterveys to medical diagnostic services group Synlab for an undisclosed sum.
The divestment comes from the GP's buyout vehicle, MB Equity Fund IV, which held a final close on €260m in October 2007. MB acquired Cityterveys in February 2015. The transaction was initiated by Cityterveys managing director Martti Kiuru searching for support, according to the GP's website.
Cityterveys has projected revenues of around €20m for 2017, up from €9m in 2015, and has a staff of 100.
Acquirer Synlab employs 17,000 people in 30 countries and generates sales of around €1.6bn.
Company
Cityterveys is a Finnish private healthcare company focusing on diagnostic services, primarily MRI and laboratory tests. The company had customer service units in Helsinki, Tampere and Vaasa at the time of MB's investment and has now expanded to 19 locations across Finland. It employs 100 people and projects revenues of around €20m for 2017.
