
Erhvervsinvest agrees to buy Randers Reb
Erhvervsinvest has agreed to acquire Danish rope manufacturer Randers Reb.
The GP declined to provide financial details surrounding the transaction. However, according to Danish publication Borsen, the transaction was valued at DKK 150-200m.
The deal is the final investment of the Erhvervsinvest III fund, managing partner Thomas Marstrand told unquote". The GP initially approached the rope maker six months ago.
Following the deal, the management team will continue unchanged with Bent Herold as CEO.
The fund held a final close on DKK 732m in 2013. It makes majority investments in Danish growth SMEs with revenues of DKK 50-500m.
Erhvervsinvest specialises in management buyouts and buy-ins. It prefers to invest in small and medium-sized Danish companies. The firm is based in Charlottenlund, Denmark.

Randers Reb was founded in 1840 in Randers, Denmark. In 2002, it transferred its production units to Alytus, Lithuania, where it manufactures steel wire and fibre ropes. The company makes ropes for fishing, playgrounds and furniture.
